General Job description: 
The Recruiter is responsible for achieving staffing and retention objectives by studying organization plans and objectives, meeting with managers to discuss needs, recruiting and evaluating job candidates, surveying new hires and existing employees, compiling and analyzing data.
 
Principle functions of the job:
  • Adhere to all current GMP’s, food safety requirements and company policies
  • Develop a knowledge of the various positions as well as the desired company culture to refine recruiting and retention strategies and meet staffing and employee satisfaction objectives
  • Maintain a schedule of current and open positions to determine hiring needs; post positions internally and externally; communicate to management
  • Attract applicants by placing job advertisements, managing hiring events, using newsgroups, job sites, social media, internal communication systems, and fostering community relationships including schools and colleges
  • Monitor effectiveness of recruiting methods to report on and recommend improvements
  • Evaluate applicant qualifications by reviewing applications, administering tests, scheduling and conducting interviews, analyzing responses
  • Determine eligibility of candidates by conducting drug screening, background, and reference checks
  • Track eligibility status of staffing agency associates
  • Onboard and orient new team members to the organization and document process
  • Compile data in various systems for statistical reporting; evaluate and make recommendations based on data
  • Answer employee questions about policies and procedures as needed
  • Maintain employee confidence by keeping information confidential
  • Accumulate employee feedback through surveys and exit interviews
  • Provide overall administrative support to the HR Manager, including but not limited to maintaining and processing documentation/records and aiding in benefits enrollment processes and administration
  • Assist in projects such as HR events, benefits open enrollment, employee communications, company-wide meetings, and charitable activities
  • Communicate effectively and efficiently with all departments to maximize efficiency and achieve results
  • Other duties as assigned by HR Manager or upper management

  • Experience conducting interviews
  • Knowledge of employment laws and practices
  • Tech savvy: including proficiency in Microsoft Word, Power Point, Excel, Outlook, and ability to learn applicant tracking systems
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate both written and verbally
  • High attention to detail and organization
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills
  • Demonstrated code of ethics, professional responsibility, dependability, and high level of confidentiality
  • Ability to gather and analyze information
  • Spanish-English bilingual preferred
