Human Resources Assistant - Recruiter

Employment duration:  Full-time; Monday - Friday, evenings and weekends as necessary for company and recruiting events
Location:  Womelsdorf, PA
Reports to:  Human Resources Manager
Compensation:  Hourly $14.00
General Job description: 
Achieve staffing objectives by studying organization plans and objectives; meeting with managers to discuss needs; recruiting and evaluating job candidates; providing administrative assistance and record management as necessary

Principle functions of the job:
  • Maintain a schedule of current and open positions to determine hiring needs; post positions internally and externally; and communicate to management.
  • Attract applicants by placing job advertisements; contacting recruiters, using newsgroups, job sites, social media, and internal communication systems.
  • Track eligibility status of staffing agency associates.
  • Determine applicant qualifications by reviewing applications, administering tests, scheduling and conducting interviews; analyzing responses
  • Determine eligibility of candidates by conducting drug screening, background and reference checks.
  • Onboard and orient new team members to the organization and document process.
  • Aid in benefits enrollment processes and administration.
  • Answer employee questions about policy and procedures, as needed.
  • Maintain employee confidence by keeping information confidential.
  • Accumulate employee feedback through surveys and exit interviews.
  • Provide overall administrative support to the HR Manager, including maintaining, processing documentation and records
  • Compile and prepare data for statistical reporting.
  • Assist in projects, such as; HR events, benefits open enrollment, employee communications, company-wide meetings, and charitable activities.
  • Assumes other duties as assigned by the HR Manager.
  • Provide administrative support for other departments as needed.
Specific qualifications & experience include:
  • General knowledge of employment laws and practices
  • Experience conducting interviews
  • Proficient in Microsoft word, power point, excel and outlook
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate both written and verbally
