Our country-cooked potato chips spring from a heritage of farming background and family values.  A tradition of cooking runs deep in the Dieffenbach family line.  Mark Dieffenbach, growing up on his father Herbert’s  farm in Berks County, Pennsylvania,  at an early age took an interest in running the range.  With his interest in cooking, which included serving up the family’s Thanksgiving dinners, turkey and all, he began experimenting with homemade potato chips on the farm kitchen stove top.  His success led him to develop his interest further and in 1964 he began offering his homemade chips to others.  Mark’s son, Elam, in his own words “A chip off the old block,”  eventually took over the business and today the third generation of Dieffenbach´s is still bringing the same homemade taste and crunch of delicious potato chips to our family of customers.
